A Brief History
Back in 1999, the dream of Dentists4kids.com was just beginning. Now 15 years later, Dentists4kids.com and Smile Savvy have grown into the largest online pediatric dental directory and pediatric dental Internet marketing team in the world.
President and CEO, Julie Fields, recalls the early years. “The ‘dot com’ era was at its peak and everyone was thinking of ways to use the web. “I remember brainstorming in 1999, the possibilities of what a pediatric dental directory and online marketing company could achieve. My partners and I had very high hopes, but never imagined that it would become what it has today.”
Dentists4kids.com has now grown into two companies, the Dentists4kids.com directory, which is the most comprehensive online directory of pediatric dentists in the world and Smile Savvy, the largest Internet marketing company for pediatric dentists.
The Dentists4kids.com directory allows pediatric dentists to highlight special services they provide, insurance plans they accept, a link to their website, office photos and detailed descriptions of their practice. Like other popular local directory sources (Google, Yelp, Bing) Dentists4kids.com shows a map with pin pointed listings for pediatric dentists in a searchable area. Also, visitors to the online directory are able to search by insurance plans or special services, and can leave reviews and/or read reviews from other patients.

ields recalls the first two years and the moment she realized that her hard work was finally paying off. “In the summer of 2001 after 18 months of marketing to get the word out about our directory and services, I was contacted by a representative from the Crest Healthy Smiles campaign, and asked to partner with them in their marketing efforts. They loved our Dentists4kids.com directory and wanted to use it in the launch of their campaign. That was a defining moment, the fact that a large corporation saw importance in what we were doing. A few months later our local Fort Worth Star Telegram ran a full page article on Dentists4kids.com. Those two opportunities helped jump start our company and our dream,” Fields explained.
Where We Are Now
Dentists4kids.com continues to grow and provide resources for parents and children, but in the Pediatric Dental Community our company is now known by the name Smile Savvy. In January of 2013, Dentists4kids.com moved the dental marketing services from their current website to SmileSavvy.com. Smile Savvy was launched to allow a better platform for pediatric dentists to see what resources were available for them to market their dental practices online and ultimately grow their business.
Smile Savvy now provides Internet marketing services to approximately one-third of practicing pediatric dentists in the U.S. Our specialized services include responsive website design, social media setup and management (including blogs and eNewsletters), branding/logo design, marketing brochures, search engine optimization and review building.

I am a free standing ortho office which has a antiquated on-line presence and website. I need to update site and integrate it into a social media and create a better experience. I don’t know if you only service pedo groups. Please contact my office at 973 627 5902 to discuss options. Thank you.

This was an interesting post about how this website has helped pediatric dentists. It is good to know where I can go to find a dentist I can take my child. It is also nice that this website shows some of the special services offered.
